	The Flint Mill is on the A520 Leek Road Cheddleton, Staffs  beside the Caldon Canal, 3 mile South of Leek	
	Watch out for the brown heritage signs for mill as you drive through the village.

	Description
	Two kilns and Two large water wheels running side by side on the River Churnet,
	which drives large pans for grinding calcined flint for the Pottery Industry.
	The Display room shows the processing of raw materials, a model Newcomen
	Engine shows how power was obtained when no water flows.
	The Millers Cottage shows how he lived in days gone by.

	Facilities
	The Mill has a car park for 18 cars, which is free to visitors. 
	The car park is unsuitable for coaches. 

	Opening Dates & Times 
	The Mill is open all year round (apart from Christmas & New year): Sat and Sun.  2pm - 5pm.
	Some weekdays  2pm - 5pm ( Check first telephone 01782 502907)

	Admission is free but donations are very welcome.
	
 	Disabled Access					Nearest mills
	There is ground floor access for people with 		Brindley Mill 3.4 miles
	mobility difficulties, but it should be noted that some 	Mosty Lea 11.4 miles
	of the site is rather uneven.				Cauldwell's Mill 30.9 miles
							Strutt's North Mill 37 miles
